Txuj Ci HMong Language and Culture Upper Campus is the premier school in Saint Paul that brings Hmong language, culture, and strong academics together in one place. Supported by the surrounding community, Txuj Ci welcomes all with a passion for education and elevates cultural tradition, language, and culture for the benefit of present and future generations.

OUR COMMUNITY

Every student is supported for who they are and who they hope to become by honoring and celebrating their language, culture, race/ethnicity, and gender. There is a positive respect between teachers and students to engage in learning.

Our students take field trips to learn about their community and culture, including visiting Hmong Village, Phalen Lake, Hmong Museum, and more.

Teachers, counselors, social workers, and support staff work together to provide students with social/emotional learning to help them build successful relationships both in and out of school.

OUR ACADEMICS

We provide students with a rigorous curriculum, meeting them where they are in their educational journey and challenge them to reach the next academic level.

Teachers from four core subject areas (math, science, reading/writing and social studies) instruct the same group of students throughout the school day.

Academics include core and elective courses, as well as college and career readiness programming.

ELECTIVES INCLUDE:

• Hmong-focused physical education.
• Hmong language and culture.
• Visual arts focused on traditional Hmong patterns and designs.

We offer Foundations, a unique advisory class that provides students with lessons focused on organizational and career pathways and helps students transition successfully from middle school to high school.
